MCD’s Outreach Goal in 2011 is to reach 125,000 people!
MCD’s Communication and Outreach Program is designed to educate Maine residents, businesses and communities about Maine Relay Service. Maine Relay is a free service that makes it possible for anyone with a hearing loss or speech impairment to communicate by telephone. Maine Relay also allows businesses and service providers to connect with everyone in their community, improving access to services for all. To learn more about Maine Relay click here.
The Communication and Outreach program also travels statewide speaking at hospitals, community groups, law enforcement agencies and businesses about hearing-loss related topics.
We’d love to reach out to YOUR organization. If you’d like to schedule a training at your location on hearing loss, Maine Relay Service (MERS), Maine’s adaptive Telecommunication Equipment Program (TEP), Civil Rights and more. Please contact Glenn Shelton at gshelton@mcdmaine.org or 207-797-7656.
